Chocolate Raspberry Stole




Materials


Yarn: 3 skeins of Debbie Mumm “Traditions” 80 g, 136 m, (2.82 oz., 148.73 yds.) 75% acrylic 23% wool, 2% other, Color: #03, Chocolate Raspberry

Needles: US 6 straight or circular

Notions: tapestry needle, split marker




Sizing


Gauge: 4.25 stitches and 5 rows = 1 inch (but does not matter much)

Size: 16” wide and 44” long, unblocked

BO – Bind Off

K –Knit

K2tog – knit next 2 stitches together.

P – Purl

Rpt – Repeat

RS – Right Side

St(s) – stitch(es)

yo – yarn over

WS – Wrong side






Pattern

Multiple of 3+1

Cast on 62 sts.

(RS)R1-2: K

R3: K2, *yo, K2tog* to last 2 sts, K2

R4: K

R5: P

R6: K2, *P3, K2*

R7: K5, *P2, K3* to last 2 sts, K2

R8-11: Rpt Rows 6 & 7 twice more.

R12-14: K

R15: Rpt R3.
R16: K


Rpt pattern 14 times or 44” (or until desired length) ending on R16.

K one more row. BO.


Note

Identify RS with a split marker. This is reversible but sides are not identical.



Alternative Idea

For a wider shawl size, CO 75 sts and use 4 skeins.
